On FIFA 13

I was having a conversation the other day with friends and fans of Football Manager who were asking me what all the fuss was with FIFA 14. They had recently seen a trailer for FIFA 14 and are thinking of purchasing the game when it comes out. The key selling point to them is FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT). I pointed out that FUT is available in FIFA 13.

My friends saw similarities in Football Manager and building and developing a FIFA Ultimate Team. It seems that the introduction of FUT has widened the net of football fans and made them interested in FIFA 13 and the soon to be FIFA 14.

Having played Football Manager myself I would agree that FUT has the same addiction. The game is free-to-play and comes included in FIFA 13. Similar to Football Manager in FUT you can earn, buy, trade, and sell FIFA players to build your Ultimate Team and manage your squad. The key difference however, is that in FUT you can compete against other gamers online and in tournaments and seasons.

After seeing me play the game my friends are now sold on FUT and will be purchasing FIFA 14.
